Analog IC Design Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Analog Circuit Design Engineer with a strong background in high-speed analog circuit design. You will play a key role in designing, simulating, and verifying a wide range of analog circuits used in cutting-edge high-speed integrated circuits (>30GHz) and power supply circuits for AI optical application.
Responsibilities:
- Developed and validate:
- Mixed-signal designs for control of Photonic Integrated Circuit.
- Hardware solutions incorporating medium-speed signal interfaces (up to 3.5GHz).
- Advanced simulations (LTspice, Python) to evaluate and optimize circuit behaviour under varied operating conditions.
- Design of boards with the following features:
- High-speed signals – 100 - 200Gb/s PAM-4.
- High-efficiency power supply design.
- Layout of complex multi-layer PCB.
- Experience in I2C and SPI.
- EMC protection.
- Develop and execute test plans for hardware validation, integration and verification.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware integration issues at the board and system level.
- Perform signal integrity and power integrity analysis.
- Interface with suppliers and manufacturing partners for hardware bring-up and production support.
- Document integration procedures, test results, and design changes.
- Support EMC/EMI testing and compliance efforts.
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on hardware architecture and layout.
- Hands-on work in the lab for testing and validation of the product, evaluations products, integration and for problems diagnosis.
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in analog PCB design.
- Knowledge of EMC implications of hard speed transmission and proven expertise in high-speed analog design.
- Knowledge of thermal and mechanical considerations in hardware design.
- A humble attitude and good communication skills.
- Ability to create an understanding of complex ideas, concepts and designs to a variety of audiences from multiple backgrounds.
- Work in a multidisciplinary team to find the optimal solution for aspect of the product, include – Architecture, FW, mechanical, production, FPGA and customer support.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in electronics engineering, physics, or other relevant fields or experience within the industry.
Experience with some/all of the following would be beneficial:
- Experience with high-frequency packaging and PCB design for high-speed interfaces.
- Experience in design for MSA module
- Experience with lab equipment, such as; spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, VNAs, and signal generators.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g. Siemans PADs, Altium, Cadence).
- Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware debugging.
