We are seeking an experienced sourcing professional with expertise across procurement, supply chain management, and manufacturing within deep-tech. You'll be an integral part of our team, collaborating across the business driving our supply chain at operational, tactical, and strategic levels in a fast-paced start-up environment. Your ability to drive results, manage relationships, and mitigate risks against aggressive schedules will be crucial in ensuring the seamless flow of technologies, materials and services to support Oriole Networks' growth and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Supplier Relationship Management:  Own and drive key supplier relationships, ensuring clear communication and adherence to both schedules and deliverables.
  
  
• Risk Management:  Conduct risk reviews and implement mitigation strategies to support timely and efficient deliveries.
  
  
• Negotiation:  Lead negotiations to achieve the best value for Oriole Networks in terms of cost, quality, and schedule.
  
  
• Contract Management:  Negotiate, review, and ensure that all deliverables are accurately captured in the Statement of Work (SOW) along with actively managing through their lifecycle.
  
  
• CAPEX Procurement:  Manage and drive the procurement of high-value test equipment to support our R&D team, working closely with our engineering teams.
  
  
• Inventory Management:  Ensure the availability of raw materials, components and finished goods, maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet production demands.
  
  
• Logistics Support:  Oversee international shipments, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and guaranteeing the timely delivery of goods worldwide.
  
  
• Import/Export Control:  Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and manage necessary export licenses.
  
  
• Purchasing & Forecasting:  Support Purchase Order (PO) generation and collaborate with Finance for accurate forecasting and billing.
  
  
• Collaboration:  Work closely with internal teams and external partners to drive speed, cost-efficiency, and product quality.

Skills & Experience:

• CIPS Qualifications or equivalent certification in procurement and supply chain management.
  
  
• Comprehensive understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, and risk management.
  
  
• Knowledge of SPIRE and LITE utilising UK.GOV tools to apply for export licenses.
  
  
• Experience of working in a dynamic start-up environment, with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  
  
• Solid background in optics and a deep understanding of the business dynamics and supply base within the optics industry.
  
  
• Strong negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.
  
  
• Team player able to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally to deliver for Oriole Networks.
